Why do short trips have no assigned driver
There isn't a direct connection between the phone (smartID App) and the car's telematics device; instead, driver logins and trip data are synchronized at the server.
When a driver taps to log in, their pending Driver ID waits for a Trip ID to attach to. Since the trip was short, the trip concluded before the driver could be linked to the trip. Short trips, such as moving the car out of a driveway, can result in a pending Driver ID. This pending Driver ID could possibly attach to the next trip if a new driver hasn't logged in, as the latest driver will always override the previous one.
